Spearheaded by lead architects Eric Barth and Ryan Burke, the project's innovative design centers around two distinct, yet interconnected, architectural volumes. One volume, a substantial pavilion, is firmly rooted in the earth, constructed from resilient stone and concrete, reflecting the stability of the bluff it occupies. Contrasting this is a lighter, more ethereal volume, a glass and wood box that boldly cantilevers over the terrain, supported by elegant, slender steel columns. This cantilevered structure creates an awe-inspiring visual effect, appearing to float above the landscape, offering unparalleled panoramic views of the undulating hills and the distant Austin skyline. The interior design, crafted by Allison Burke Interior Design, complements the architectural vision, ensuring that every space within the residence resonates with both functionality and aesthetic appeal.
